It’s starting to feel like winter is getting closer, even here in sunny Queensland. An extra blanket got added to the bed a couple of nights ago, and even staying warm during the day in the house requires putting socks on!  Nearly time for an evening fire in the fireplace. We love this time of year – good hug and snuggle weather!

Of all the articles in this issue of MarriageWorks, we think Phil McGilvray’s on budgeting is probably the most pertinent.  No matter how much – how little – your income is, a responsible spending plan is essential, as well as taking much of the stress out of money discussions.  Of course, to make it work, you have to use it!  Read and evaluate your own spending habits, to see if you can make your dollars stretch even farther, or use them more wisely.

Funny thing, you know – if we’d all paid more attention to Phil’s good advice, the world wouldn’t be in its current financial crisis!
