Hello to all of you!

This issue of MarriageWorks Magazine has a truly wide variety of articles –  proving again that Love is a Many Splendoured Thing! So many areas, so much to learn. Can one couple know it all?  No, so that’s why we need to read and learn from each other.

Any of the subjects addressed in this issue have the potential of blowing any couple apart.  Debt, sexual misunderstanding, lack of respect, not taking appropriate responsibility – before you were married did anyone warn you that Marriage is Huge, requiring concentration and work?  It really does affect and determine everything we do from here on in.

Graham and Frieda Roberts have shared their wise observations about mixed-faith marriages – those that lack the longed-for spiritual unity, one of the most basic attributes in a strong marriage.  Is there hope for this empty space between us?

Debt – the second bite of Phil McGilvray’s counsel. It IS possible to avoid the stress of unwise debt, and sleep better at night!

Alan Bailey defines being a man, and Rene shares her heart on the need we all have for respect.

Linda Munoz-Scott, whose first baby is due in a few months, is now a stay-at-home mum getting ready for the big day. She and Luke dare to explore an area where there has been very little positive teaching, but lots of questions and suspicion.  What a privilege it would be to attend their Young Adults group!

Louis McBurney flashes some yellow lights for us – caution signs that are easy to ignore when some of the excitement and commitment begin to leak from our marriages. Common problems that if addressed in time, can save a faltering marriage and family.

And then there is Grampa Gordon Moyes, who has learned so much at this stage of his life about girls – his own special grand daughters.  I (Grace) would love to have been one of them!  Such fun …

Once again, happy reading!
