Again, a warm welcome to this online edition of MarriageWorks Magazine with more ideas to make your own marriage terrific.  One of the first rules of a great marriage is to be absolutely transparent. Look deep into the hearts of two young mums as you read A Different Breakfast, and Rene.  Their honesty is refreshing.

This third part of Phil McGilvray’s 3-part series on budgeting is as usual, full of good, easy-to-follow plans that can help spare you from the number one trap that married couples fall into – money problems.  It may mean you don’t always get what you want Right Now, but it will help you still be together when you do get those things, or go those places.  And apart from a mortgage or rent, you will have stayed out of debt while you’re doing it!

Does twenty years sound like a long marriage? Phil Callaway is his usual light hearted but oh-so-right self sharing some of his and Ramona’s secrets of making it.

A good marriage is fragile. Graham Roberts reminds us how much we need to depend on God’s help to make marriage work the way it was designed to. Christian spouses must learn to pray together to truly become one. Many years of successful experience qualify him to make some suggestions for the rest of us.

Lastly, Linda Munoz-Scott shares her struggle adjusting to her mum’s second marriage. A real issue for many of us today. Read how she is handling it, and our best wishes to her lovely mum!

And again, happy reading,
